OpenVerdict does not access private or restricted social media content, and does not create false accounts or use deceptive means to access information.
3. How Data Is Processed and Analyzed
OpenVerdict uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, to synthesize publicly available information into structured juror profiles. These profiles are designed to identify potential bias indicators and support voir dire preparation.
The Platform provides analytical support tools. It does not make predictions about juror behavior, case outcomes, or verdict likelihood. All analysis is presented as structured information for attorney review and independent professional judgment. For additional detail regarding the scope and limitations of Platform analysis, see our Terms of Service, Sections 6 (Juror Analysis Disclaimer), 7 (No Legal Advice), and 8 (No Prediction of Case Outcomes).
Users are responsible for independently verifying all information presented by the Platform before relying on it in legal proceedings.
4. Use of AI Systems and Analysis Transparency
OpenVerdict employs AI systems to analyze patterns, correlations, and indicators within publicly available data. AI-generated outputs represent analytical interpretations of available information - they are not factual determinations, verified conclusions, or expert opinions.
AI-generated outputs are clearly identified within the Platform. OpenVerdict does not represent AI-generated analysis as human analysis or expert opinion. AI systems may produce outputs that are incomplete, reflect patterns not present in the underlying data, or fail to identify relevant information.
All AI outputs should be treated as preliminary analytical signals subject to attorney verification and independent professional assessment. For additional detail, see our Terms of Service, Section 11 (AI Analysis Transparency).
5. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. The Platform employs access controls, audit logging, and infrastructure security measures appropriate for handling information used in legal practice.
While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on or transmitted through the Platform.
6. Third-Party APIs, Data Providers, and Source Transparency
OpenVerdict integrates with third-party data providers and APIs to aggregate publicly available information, including court record databases, identity verification services, and public record aggregators. These integrations are used solely to provide the services described on the Platform.
OpenVerdict does not control these external data sources and cannot guarantee their continued availability, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Changes to third-party data sources or access restrictions may affect the scope or completeness of Platform outputs without prior notice. For additional detail, see our Terms of Service, Section 12 (Data Source Transparency).
OpenVerdict does not sell, license, or otherwise distribute user data or juror data to third parties for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Platform's services.
